Program Summary

The Ketamine Training Center program at Menla Retreat Center is a multi-day immersive educational experience designed for clinicians exploring ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), non-ordinary states, and integrative approaches to patient care. Led by an interdisciplinary faculty including Phil Wolfson, MD, Bessel van der Kolk, Licia Sky, Mark Braunstein, DO, and Julissa Vasquez, the training combines foundational instruction, guided discussion, experiential learning, and group reflection in a retreat-based setting.

Throughout the week, participants engage with key topics including ketamine formats and dosing, safety considerations, mindfulness, neuroscience, cultural awareness, practice-building, family and adolescent applications, and psychodynamic and experiential methodologies. The program also emphasizes community, reflection, meditation, and structured group integration to support deeper understanding of ketamine work in clinical and therapeutic settings.

  • Multi-day retreat-based training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and related methodologies
  • Faculty-led sessions on safety, dosing, neuroscience, mindfulness, ethics, and clinical application
  • Experiential and discussion-based learning with group sharing, dyads, and integration sessions
  • Focus on both foundational principles and evolving approaches in ketamine-assisted care
